Jacinta Govind
Jacinta is a former player who grew up on the NSW Central Coast.
Some of her fondest memories include winning silver and bronze medals at the U16 and U18 National Championships representing NSW Country and a stint with the UC Capitals in the WNBL.
Jacinta has also coached since a young age and was involved in programs with local rep teams, the Central Coast Academy of Sport and NSW Country.
Her first foray into podcasting was as a regular co-host on STB for over 4 years and has recently launched her own pod – Front Row Hustle, she also co-hosts NBL1 East focussed podcast East Got Game.
She also commentates for NBL1 and occasionally for FIBA.
Jacinta is a strong advocate for women’s basketball and gender equality in sport. She values the importance of female representation and hopes her achievements and experience provides young people with the belief that they can achieve the same – “if you can see it, you can be it”.
